TeleTracking is a software healthcare company that combines integrated operational technology with deep clinical knowledge to optimize access to care, streamline care delivery, and connect care transitions.

Its platform integrates seamlessly with EMRs and is proven across North America, Europe, the UK, and government agencies. They work with the largest health systems in the world and individual hospitals or clinics.

⛰ CHALLENGES

The client faced several challenges with their existing Microsoft Azure infrastructure:

  • High Costs: The ongoing expenses associated with their Azure environment were significant.

  • Operational Complexity: Managing a complex infrastructure was time-consuming and resource-intensive.

  • Limited Scalability: The existing infrastructure needed to work on meeting the demands of a growing business.

✅ SOLUTION

To address these challenges, we partnered with the client to guide them through the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) Assess phase.

As the architect, I conducted discovery workshops to fully understand the client's footprint in Azure, focusing on the client's business drivers for this project: cost minimization, enhanced operational efficiency, reduced infrastructure complexity, and harnessing the power of AWS.

I performed the following tasks to meet the client's needs:

  • TCO Analysis: I meticulously analyzed the total cost of ownership for migrating to AWS, considering factors such as licensing, hardware, and operational costs.

  • Network Architecture Design: Designed a robust and scalable hub-and-spoke network architecture, utilizing AWS Transit Gateway to improve security and centralize network traffic (ingress and egress) across three regions (two in the United States and one in Europe).

  • Service Selection: Carefully selected AWS services, including AWS WAF, Load Balancers, and others, to optimize performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
